What is The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition?
The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, in all its richness, is an evolving practice of inner and outer activities that restore balance and harmony to our relationship with All That Is.
“Pachakuti” means “world reversal” and refers to the time of transformation we are living now. A mesa is an altar for self-exploration, transformation and personal growth in which we create a new paradigm of one’s relation to the Self and the Universe. This tradition, in all its richness, is an evolving practice of inner and outer activities that restore balance and harmony to our relationships with All That Is.
This ancient shamanic tradition is based upon 5,000 years of orally transmitted teachings of the Q'ero indigenous peoples of the Peruvian Andes. It has survived to this day through directly imparted mystical experiences and their deep spiritual connections to the Cosmos and to the great mountain "Apus" surrounding the "Sacred Valley" near Cuzco, Peru.
This shamanic tradition is based upon the practice of "Anyi", or the "Law of Sacred Reciprocity." This is not merely an ideal, but is considered a way of life that puts us in "right relationship" to all living beings, and to All That Is. Aligning oneself with this principle allows us to "walk in harmony" and beauty with the natural world, healing ourselves and everything we are connected with in the process.

It's striking the things people can see in their animal totems that are not always visible to them simply looking at themselves from the perspective of their own inner or outer mirrors in life. Looking at ourselves from the viewpoint of our animal totems perspective can make it so much easier to "own" qualities we may not even know exist within us, and to know and to experience the meaning of truly "unconditional love."
We begin first with our own animal totems and with ourselves, and then extend such compassion and undertanding out to others in our lives. It is a truly wonderful way of claiming and knowing who you truly are through the eyes of the animal totems who have chosen to work with YOU personally in this lifetime!
